Throughout the year there are numerous events that take place in Church Stretton and many nearby towns - something to suit all ages and tastes. The National Trust run a continuous programme of interesting talks and activities, and the Church Stretton Area website has a What's On section listing local events, for example the annual Summerfest in June, the Church Stretton & South Shropshire Arts Festival in July-August, farmers markets, flower festivals, village fetes, a variety of music events and much, much more. A little further afield, the world famous Shrewsbury Flower Show in August, and the Ludlow Food Festival in September are always very popular, as is the Shropshire County Show in June (formerly the West Mid Show).
