Things to do...

You need never be short of things to do whilst you are staying with us. Whatever your age, interests or fitness level there is plenty to suit everyone - your only problem will be deciding what to leave out.

Nearby attractions include Acton Scott Working Farm Museum, made famous by the BBC2 series 'Victorian Farm' and 'Escape in Time', and Stokesay Castle, described as "the finest and best preserved fortified medieval manor house in England". For guests who enjoy walking or other outdoor activities, the Long Mynd and Stretton Hills are right on our doorstep, with the rugged Stiperstones only a Shuttle Bus ride away (runs weekends from Easter to October).

Church Stretton has a Park and two exciting new facilities for 2010 - a children's play area (Brooksbury Nature Play) and a leisure centre. If you fancy having a 'give the car a rest day' there is plenty to do in and around the hotel and within a short walking distance: Church Stretton has a lovely selection of small independent shops and we have our own hotel shop too for you to browse around.

Numerous events take place in Church Stretton and throughout Shropshire during the year, and the local Tourist Information Centre is just a short distance from the hotel: you will find more ideas for things to do there, as well as the adjacent local library.
